I originally set up my domain email on my 8330 as first.last @mydomain .com, but the emails took 15 minutes to get to my phone. So then I called verizon and they said a 15 minute delay was "normal" and I could set up a myuser @vzw.blackberry .net address on my device and have the server @mydomain.com forward all my messages automatically to my @vzw.blackberry.net. And because the device is always linked to the blackberry.net server I would get all emails almost instantaneously, instead of having to wait for the blackberry server to poll the mail.mydomain.com server for my messages every 15 minutes.
So I added an email myuser @vzw.blackberry.net to my device and deleted first.last @mydomain.com from my device, and set up forwarding on mail.mydomain.com to forward all messages to my bb email.
It worked for a week perfectly, I would receive all the emails sent to @mydomain.com on my device at @vzw.blackberry.net within a few seconds. Today I noticed something weird. I got an email from someone at yahoo and it went to my @mydomain.com address but did not get forwarded to my device at @vzw.blackberry.net. Then a few minutes later I got a message from a corporate email like @corpdomain.com and it was forwarded by mail.mydomain.com to myuser @vzw.blackberry .net. It has been that way ever since 2pm today. all messages from accounts at hotmail, yahoo, etc do not get forwarded to my device, and all messges from corporate domains get forwarded to my bb email.
I called verizon and they said it was the mail.mydomain.com server, because we ran a test where I would send mail direclty from a yahoo account to my bb email and it would work, so they said it had to be my domain server.
I called my domain hosting company, network solutions, a huge company with whom I have had my domain for 8 years and never had a single day/hour of down server time. They said it had to be the BB server because we ran a test where I set up forwarding to both my BB address and a separate yahoo address simultaneously, and the mail got forwarded to the yahoo account, but not the bb account.
I have run through my account settings on the BIS website and with verizon as well as running through my domain settings with network solutions, and nothing explains which server is causing the filtering of emails from yahoo and hotmail accounts.
Ok, I'm bumping this because I'm having the EXACT same issue.
On 11/9 at around noon CST, emails from instantly pushed accounts (yahoo/gmail/hotmail) stopped getting forwarded to my phone from my personal email. Oddly enough, I have the same email host. I'm going to try using my work host to figure out if it's a Netsol issue, or a BB issue.
[UPDATE] This is an issue with Network Solutions. I setup a forward using another email host, and the emails forwarded fine.
