I have five e-mail accounts coming into my device. For some reason each has been designated "a calendar." Three "calendars" are inactive and I have 2 "Desktop" calendars that do update with data.

I generally update calendar data from my MS Outlook Calendar at my office desktop, (occassionally I add data to my device) but I am not sure how this data gets sync'd up with my device. Now I have data in two seperate "Device Desktop" calendars and I cannot sync all calendar items together.

Can I merge these two "Desktop" calendars into one file and select how they sync with my MS Outlook? I would prefer to merge the two calendars into one, an eliminate the chance that I lose data when sync'ing.

Outlook sync's with the default calendar. See default services in options on the blackberry.



SteveO86, I believe, wrote a very good post on how this works. There is a way to merge the calendars. Don't trust me on this -- do a search -- but I belive deleting the cical service books will cause the calendars to merge. Then resend service books. And of course, do a backup first.

My default services show:
Calendar (CICAL): Desktop
Messaging (CMIME): Desktop

When I try to look at options, it only shows one "Desktop" option. As you know I have 2 Desktop calendars with different data.

Not sure what to do next.

When you highlight "desktop" and click, do you see your various email addresses as options? Can you set your default calendar and default messaging service to one of the email addresses, just set calendar and messaging to the same address?

Don't send to SteveO86..... Just search for posts re calendar abd that username (assuming I remember the username correctly). That's in regard to merging the calendars. First set the default calendar a messaging.
