Default No sound alert

It started with my alarm showing but with no sound and today I found out that the phone doesn't ring when I get a call or a text message. I tried to change the ringtones and use different profiles but there was no sound. It only vibrates when I select vibrate+tone. I tried to play Pandora and it would not play. I tried my music and it skipped a number of tracks, saying the media processor was busy, then played only one song and started skipping again. Does anyone know what could be wrong with the phone? Do you think reinstalling the OS might fix the problem? thanks

Wirelessly posted (8820)

Did you try pulling the battery for about 30 seconds?

I would also agree about the battery pull.
Sometimes my Storm will not recognize the sounds and it takes a battery pull to get it working again.
