Default 8310 IT-Policy removal help

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a 8310 from e-bay that has an IT policy on it that locks the phone and requires a password. The policy also puts a little red lock on the media card. I have researched everything on removing the ITpolicy, theissue I am having is this phone is not seen by the desktop software and when I plugit in the computer states that it is not able to recognize the usb device.

I have another curve that I plug into the same computer without any problems and am able to use the desktop to sync with the phone?

what do I need to do to get the phone to sync with computer so that I can clear the IT policy?

Ok. What else have you done/tried?

Are you plugging in directly or via a HUB?

Directly, I have tried everything, the computer does not see this blackberry, but has no problem seeing my other one without an IT policy on it!

How hard is it to connect the phone wirelessly through blue tooth incase the phones USB port is shot?

If it can see your other phone then the USB port probably isn't shot....

What version of desktop manager do you have installed?

When you plug it in, does it charge the battery?

Yes when I plug the 8310 into the computer it charges the battery however the computer states unrecognized USB device. I am using the latest DM software and the phone has 4.5 OS.

When I plug my other BB 8330 into the same computer using the same USB cable and the same DM software the computer sees it and I can sinc.
