Default Message Status Indicators - Help please

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Blackberry Curve 8310. I notice when I send MMS messages, often I see "Message status Indicators(or Icons)" as they are referred to in the documentation. However, the ones I am receiving, I cannot find in any Blackberry User Guide or any other documentation.

The icon you receive when you initially send a message is one that resembles a bullseye (three circles around each other). If the message is not sent, you receive a red "X" and if it goes through you receive a check mark.

My problem is that when I send MMS messages, I oftern get a very strange icon and hours will pass and the message is never sent. The icon resembes a clock or a timer (best I can describe it). What does this mean and how do I fix???? I have tried Blackberry faq's etc..as well, and cannot figure this one out.

Anyone have a clue????

Thanks so much for any help and Happy Holidays from Philadelphia!

You can try resending your service books via the BIS website.

Also do you have sufficient coverage when sending the MMS message? When I send emails from the office (where I have a poor signal) sometime I get the red x but it actually sent..

Default blackberry 8310 icons

Steve,

Thanks so much for the help. I do have perfect coverage as far as that goes. Can you explain what you meant by" resending your service books via the BIS website"?

Also, I do get the rex "X" sometimes but this icon, as I mentioned is more like a clock or a timer and could sit there all day.

Thanks Steve and all.

I believe this is the AT&T login page:

https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=mycingular

Try logging in their and go under "Help" and you will have an option to resend your service books, give that a shot.

What type of MMS messages are you sending? Pic/Vid/music?
