Default How Do I Get MMS on Curve to send from my default e-mail?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Thank you in advance for your help. I have been trying to change the e-mail address to my default e-mail address my Curve? Every time I send one I have to manually remember to change it in the "From" line but most times I forget and it sends from a a rarely used e-mail address as default, which people won't open as they do not know that it is from me.

Thank you all and I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holiday Season!

Welcome to the forums.

Go to Options > Advanced Options > Default Services and set it there.

If you sent someone something from a different address, it will remember that address for that specific contact and you will manually have to change it.

You have MMS in your title?

Regarding email, the blackberry will automatically use the last email account you used for a given contact. If you don't change it, then it should stay the same.

Default How Do I Get MMS on Curve to send from my default e-mail?

I usually am sending MMS to my default e-mail or to my husband's e-mail so that we have them on our respective laptop & PC to keep in our pictures file or print them. I changed the sent from info to my default e-mail manually, but it is still sending from that little used e-mail address.

Also, I under Advanced Options Default Services, it shows that my Calendar (CICAL) is my correct default e-mail and my Messaging (CMIME-whatever that means, sorry, tech-challenged) is also set correctly to my default e-mail (again, sorry whatever those mean!).

Thank you both so much for taking the time to help such a tech-challenged thick-headed forty something!

CMIME = Compressed Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension. In short, it is your default email address.

Change it manually to the contact that you want to send the message to and then try sending another message to that same contact. It should now be set to the address you want.

MMS can be sent to an e-mail address, but why? Why not just use e-mail for sending e-mail? I think you are making things much more complicated than they need to be. Use e-mail and it will honor your default e-mail address settings.

Default How Correction-How Do I Get Picture on Curve to send from my default e-mail

I am sorry, I just realized my question was not accurate and I should not have used MMS. I take a picture with my Curve and (normally) send it to my default email (most times manually changed to my "Send Using" same default email) . When I try to send the picture I took, I go to "Send As Email" and it always opens as "Send Using" with the rarely used email address unless I change it manually each time.

Thank you again and once more please allow me to apologize for my word inaccuracies.

I don't think it should matter either way,

But if you are in the message folder and you compose an email, the send using will show "default" or something like that. When you enter the "to" address, finsh composing, and send, the "sending" address will be the last one for that contact.

Or, if you are in the media app, if you use "send as email" from the menu, it should be the same way.

I haven't found a reliable method of selecting the actual email address used as a default for emailing photos. It seems to ignore the Default Services settings on my 8310.
