Try a hard reset. Remove the battery for about 30 seconds.

| SIMPLE! Clear your Cache in Internet Options, the do a battery reset! Internet, Options, Cache Operations, Clear History (enter), Clear Content Cache (enter), and Cookie Cache (enter), backspace to clean memory - when cleaning is done, backspace again, then do a cold boot (without shutting down the phone), do a battery pull and replace. Ding - your set!

| For what it's worth, I'm getting this same error on my 8900, starting yesterday. I'm running beta OS 5.0.0.411, but I've had that OS for a month and the camera had been working fine. I strongly suspect it's a hardware issue. The 8900 has tons of memory, so that shouldn't be an issue. With all apps closed that can be closed, I have 129 MB free. Clearing all internet caches did not solve the problem. I'll try reinstalling the OS, but I don't have a lot of hope that that will work. I know the 8900 isn't the 8300 but this error seems to pop up across models.

| I have done everything many people have suggested I do and the camera is still not functioning. Same error message. This apparently has been a problem since the Curve came out. Now I have to pay the insurance company a deductible to replace obviously defective hardware. I think this should be RIM Blackberry's problem, and not ours. I don't see why WE have to pay for their defects!!! Grrr!! Sorry for the hostility...my camera just stopped working today (applications running and all that) and all the research I've done tells me I'm just going to have to pay to have it replaced.
