i have an 8310.....how do i completely wipe out its software and re-load 4.5?

Impossible to answer without knowing what's slowing it down. Have you checked to see what apps you have running?

Don't rush to wipe and reload the OS if you are new at this. Look at other solutions first.

only the basic ones running....home screen, browser, messeges, call log.....thats it

What are you doing when you perceive that it is running slow? For example, using the browser? Or what?

the browser is the slowest thing....have cleaned all memory and cache....but basically everything is running slow....the egg timer comes up alot.....sometimes i need to pull the battery to correct it....

How much free memory is available (Options / Status) when it is slow?

Does is show edge, EDGE, gprs or GPRS in the upper right hand corner?

i have converted the bytes to MB and it normally shows 19-20 free

i always have EDGE and 4-5 bars

is there a way to delete features like call log?.....i dont have call display so it serves no purpose.....

I doubt your call log is using much memory all things considered. But, open message folder, menu, view folder, phone call logs, and then highlight the date at the top, then menu, and delete prior.

what i meant was, is there a way to delete the call log application entirely from my phone?.....not the actual logs themselve.....
