Default 8310 Doesnt operate right

I have an 8310 on att.

I do not get why this phone does this. Every once and a while when i press space or a certain key it will just do "yiyiyiyiyiyi" or "lblblblblb" and the button wont do what its told. It does this often, and it just goes away after sometime.

This is my fourth curve that has done this to me. Which leads me in two directions, its how i handle the phone or its my sim card (same one for almost 3 years).

Has anyone else have this problem? Or maybe know why it happens?
