Keypad and trackball fail to work even after activating on another phone
 

I have a user that has come to me with their BB 8330 and the keypad and trackball have stopped functioning. Only way I can get the display to come up on the phone is to plug the power cord in or remove it. Here is what I have done to try fixing the issue:

1. Several battery pulls
2. ESN swap with another known working phone which worked for several hours activated until it locked up just like the original phone

Now I have:

• 1 phone that is enterprise activated that has a locked keypad/trackball
• 1 phone that still needs to be activated with the carrier due to the ESN swap that also has a locked keypad/trackball

Any ideas how to fix both of these phones without deleting the user from the BlackBerry server?
We are running BES Version: 5.0.0.137 and this is only happening to this one user.

The esn has nothing to do with buttons not working. You got a hardware issue

Hardware issue on 2 different devices?

my green phone key acts like my 4 key

my menu key acts like my 1 key

and my return key acts like my * key and sometime the ALT key

I trackball wet Saturday and I dried with a blow drier and have everyday. I think that might have fried it a little. At first it wasn't functioning at all but prayer changes things!

What do I do !! !! !! !! !! !! ?? ? ? ? ? ? ?
