Exclamation HELP! My BBM Disappeared! =(

Please Login to Remove!
So I'm impatient and jealous so I tried downloading the new BBM 5.0 but I dont have the right OS for it I guess and it deleted my BBM all together and now won't let me re-download it! It says my phone does not support BBM! I'm ABSOLUTELY heart broken (I know, cheesy) without it!

Can someone help me please!?

Welcome to the forums.

Install the OS for your device and you can then install BBM from there. It is packaged with the OS. You can find it at the top of this forum.

Yes, follow the steps in the thread posted at the top of this forum.

Yeah so I did this... last night... for over an hour. I followed the steps exactly as they are in the forum... does it matter that I have an 8330 and the OS was for 8300? I assumed it was for the whole 8300 family... anyway, long story short it didn't work. I was up past midnight and almost threw my berry into the snow... other options?

Yes it matters. You need to use the OS for the 8330. You cannot use the OS for the 8300, 8310, 8320. It needs to be for the 8330!

That's why there is an OS stickied for each model!

I dont know what "stickied" is... so yeah it didn't give me the option in the blackberry.com pull down menu thing for my model i was confused. well that torches me =( All that sleep lost for nothin... i guess i dont know where to get this then. i'm completely retarded.

Do you have an ESN or MEID device. Press Alt + Caps + H and does it list an MEID number or ESN number?

No problem.


Follow the directions as stated in that link and let us know how things go.

Remember to put a check next to BBM when loading the OS.

Also, with this new OS loaded, you can then get the new version of BBM that you were trying to get in the beginning.
