Default Curve 8330 Battery Charge

Please Login to Remove!

When I turn my curve off, it just blinks a little green and red light, but nothing comes on if it says it's charged or not.

How do I know if my battery is charged if my phone is off?

How do I know if my battery is charged if my phone is on?

Will it hurt my BB to leave it plugged in for a prolonged period of time (10+ hours)?

Thanks.

When the phone is off: the green LED should blink as the phone is being charged. When its fully charged, the green LED stays on. Its possible to see a little red (depending on angle) when the green LED is blinking.

When the phone is on: LED does not blink. Instead you should see a plug icon next to your battery indicating the phone is being charged. When fully charged, the plug icon goes away.

Leaving the phone plugged in for long hours will generally not hurt the phone. The batteries come with a built in cirucit to prevent over charging. So once its charged, it ceases to draw any more power from your outlet.

Thank you.

Also, so I don't have to start another thread,

Does putting the blackberry in a pocket hurt the scrolling wheel? I'm careful when I slide the phone in and out of my pocket, but the scrolling wheel just seems fragile.

I leave my BB in my pocket all the time and havent had an issue. Although, most users discourage it

The issue for some is lint or dirt getting inside. I put a skin on the device and ensure that there is a plastic coating so the screen doesnt get scratched

The trackball is pretty tough. The main issue as mentioned is the dirt/lint issue. But I think as long as you're mindful of the device in your pocket you're ok.
