Default Need to Remove Company Security Software

Please Login to Remove!

I was using my personal BB 8830 to stay connected to company email. My company downloaded a security update to my personal phone that requires me to enter in a password everytime i use the phone. I have since reduced my plan to get rid of enterprise, but i cannot figure out how to get rid of the password security. When I try to disable the password, there is a little red lock - it won't let me change it from 'enabled'. Any ideas?

I believe the IT policy from the BES is still on the device.
you need to remove it.

You can use this:

Just contact your BES admin and they can remove the IT policy for you

If you are still connected to the BES, the IT Policy will get pushed back. Need to contact the BES Admin to make sure you have been removed from the BES and to get a blank policy pushed to the device, as mentioned above.

Might be a little trickier to use that approach without a BES data plan. It could probably be done via USB though.
