Default Transferring blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

I made a thread about how much trouble my curve was giving me, so I got a replacement and I have some questions on transferring everything to the new one. Any insight would be great

1. Should I transfer using the Blackberry Desktop Manager?
2. Should I activate the phone first, and then transfer? Or transfer first, and then activate?
3. How does it work with my BBM contacts? (I have the new BBM on my old phone, and the old BBM on my new phone)
4. I have a memory card; should I do the transfer with the card in or out?

Thank you so much to anyone who can help me out a bit, I'm paranoid of losing everything :(

1) Yes, use the Switch Device Wizard in DM. It will copy over all of you data/settings/3rd party apps/etc.
2) It doesn't matter which order you decide to do this.
3) Using the Switch Device Wizard should copy all of the contacts over to the new device as well
4) It doesn't matter either way. Just be sure to move the card over to the new device at some point.

Also, make sure to log into your BIS account and switch devices there to forward the email to your new device.
