Default How do you tell if your Blackberry 8330 has water damage?

Hi all,

I recently got a Blackberry Curve 8330. Lately it's been kind of slow and doing the hourglass alot. It's never been around any water but I am nervous it might have water damage. How do I tell if it does? I checked the battery and it was white with little red X's...what does that mean?? I am hoping it's not water damage. AHH!

Also, it would not let me open up my BBM chat today, everytime I would click on it I got this message: java.lang.out of memory error. What does this mean and why does it do this? I am very new to the Blackberry and don't know much about it yet. I updated it, and then when I turned it on, my BBM messenger icon was gone. I have been trying to reinstall it but it's very slow for some reason.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice to help with my situation?

You are out of memory.
Pull the battery.
