Will the 8330 battery charge while hooked up to my computer through a USB port?

If you have DM installed and the device is connected via a powered USB port, directly on the laptop or PC, not via a HUB.

I don't think you need to have DM installed for it to charge.

I don't have DM installed on my work computer and my BB charges when I plug it in to a powered USB port.

Edit: When I first plugged it in to my work computer, Windows XP installed a Blackberry device driver that came with XP. So I think the device driver is all you need.

For it to charge properly, you need the drivers that are installed with DM. Not all versions of Windows has those drivers.
