I recently switched to cable internet and bought a new router via Newegg that was very affordable and well reviewed. As a router it performs flawlessly and I get great internet speeds and no connection issues with my laptop.

Now my 8320 is a different story. I can't for the life of me get my BB to connect "fully" to the router. It connects using the WEP key I have setup, it says it is connected, but it never goes into UMA mode and the Wifi symbol is always grayed out. I have tried a battery pull and that didn't help either. I am using v4.5.0.81 currently.

Does anybody have this particular model of router and if so were you able to get UMA/Wifi working on your 8320?

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan like BIS? Without it, your wifi logo will still greyed out. But you should still be able to browse using the BB browser while on wifi.

As for UMA have you checked your connection settings? Set to either wifi preferred or wifi only.
