Default 8830 endless hourglass curse

Please Login to Remove!

A few days ago, after syncing to PC, got message something like "delete device app to continue to sync" . I did. Noticed when I used BB after that it gets stuck on a function (hourglass turns endlessly) until I have to shut off and restart. Can't answer calls when they come in if a calendar reminder is on the screen because I must first "oK" reminder, which causes the evil hourglass to turns ssslllllooooowwwwly (for minutes at a time) until I lose my patience and have to shut off the device. It's getting worse. My battery is getting drained after these events. I used to charge my device once every 6-7 days. Now having to do so every couple of days. I've had this device for about 2 years w/few complaints. I'm a T-Mobile user.

IF a battery pull and reset does not work. It may also be you have too many things that use memory and not enough memory is available.

As for the battery,Another issue may be the Cell phone itself, if not xxx8220;seeingxxx8221; the cell site will continually search. This causes the radio to drain the battery more than usual. Try to notice if the transmit indicators are showing activity. You could try charging it in a better location if this is the case. Nothing to loose by trying if itxxx8217;s not the App causing your problem.

Worst case Do a search for JL_cmdr and reload the OS.

I did a battery pull and it really did the trick. I have read a variety of opinions in this forum and it seems pulling the battery can solve the majority of issues. Thanks for writing.
