Default Speakerphone for 3 seconds??

Please Login to Remove!

First post... When I answer an incoming phone call, the first 2-3 seconds of the call are in speakerphone mode, then after 2-3 seconds it resumes to the normal handset speaker. How can I fix this? Thanks!

The same happens to me! Mine is for at least 1 sec, what the hell?
I'm on Metro, so I guess some flaws are allowed!

Wirelessly posted

I have an 8700g that does that. I haven't really investigated. The only thing I know is it wasn't doing it when I was running 4.2. I had stopped using it and later put 4.5 on it when my wife started using it. I'm figuring it is an OS issue in combination with the model, but don't really know. But it doesn't happen on my 8820, also running 4.5..

If you can try a different or newer OS, you might give it a go if you are so motivated.

EDIT: I just asked the wife if it does it all the time or just sometimes. She said only sometimes, but not for a while.
Could be a battery pull somewhere along the way corrected it.
