Well i dropped my unlimited plan and if i remember right you can use the bb for free if you have the wi fi turned on and available is this correct?

See what you can do with the hotspot browser.



You defintely will not be able to use blackberry-branded apps such as BBM, BIS email, etc.

I expect that with mobile network off and using the hotspot browser your carrier would/should not charge you data. But if in doubt, call the customer service # and ask.
