Default Can I transfer programs and apps to new BB 8310?

Please Login to Remove!

I just ordered a new 8310 to replacemy old 8310.
I believe I can easily transfer my old data (contacts, calendar, etc) to the new phone merely by syncing it with my current Desktop Manager. Correct?
But what about the other phone settings and small apps that are on the old phone (SplashID, BBSmart Alarms Pro, BB Alerts, etc)? Will they transfer too -- with a sync?
If not, how do I transfer the other stuff?

Use the Desktop Manager "Switch Device Wizard" - that will back up all of your data, settings AND applications.

Wirelessly posted

Use the switch device wizard in DM.

And by the way, you do not sync with DM. You sync with Outlook or similar using DM, and then only PIM data.

Got it.

I'll give it a try when my new 8310 arrives.

Thanks folks!
