Default How do I see what OS I have, and Update if need be?

Please Login to Remove!

I have had my Blackberry for about 4 months now. I was wondering how I could see what OS I have and if it needs updated? And if so, how I would do it?

Also, how do I delete the browser history? I use the BB browser and Opera

Thanks
Chas

To see what OS you have, go to Options > About
To see the latest released OS for your device, check the sticky threads at the top of this forum section. There are instructions in the link on how to do it. But if you are new to the BlackBerry, I suggest you wait and get familiar with the device before updating it.
To delete the BlackBerry browser history, while in the browser to to Options > Cache Operations and you can delete it there.
I don't know about Opera.

I'd suggest you read the BlackBerryFAQs, link in my sig. Also check this link for lots of tips and info that will answer many questions.

IMHO, if you device works as you need it to work, then it isn't broken and doesn't need to be fixed by updating the OS or any other such action.

I agree with daphne, use it for awhile longer. Get to know what it can and cannot do. Read our FAQ and read the 8300 section and others as well. You find that it works just fine as it is.

Wirelessly posted (L'neuf trois)

To clear browser history in Opera, press the menu key to get to your history. From there, press the menu key again and selec clear. It will ask you to confirm delete.
