Default keyboard works for about a day, then stops

Please Login to Remove!

my 8310 curve got moisture damaged. I opened it up, cleaned everything out, and let it dry for a couple days. When I reassembled the phone all the buttons worked fine for about a day, and then some of them stop working. I reopened the phone and reassembled it, and everything worked for about a day again and then the same buttons stopped.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? The only idea I have is that when I screw the keypad back in I am doing something wrong, and it allows the keyboard to move around or something, which stops the keys from hitting the keypad sensor in the right place.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

The keyboard contacts are part of the mainboard. Typically when moisture damage occurs it is the the form of corrosion on these contacts.

You are going to continue to experience the same problems until you replace the device.

+1 to what MM said.... Also, when electronics and water mix, it's almost NEVER a good ending.
