Default 8320 Changing Carrier

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, please feel to correct me if i'm posting in the wrong location, but I have a rather frustrating problem.

three weeks ago my ancient Nokia died, and I've been looking for a new cellphone, So when one of my family members offered me their old BB I was ecstatic. However the handheld is locked to T-Mobile (US I imagine) and wont read my Vodafone (new zealand) SIM.

I have tried wiping the device with Jl Cmder And installing the Australian Vodafone OS via the app loader, but every time it still boots the same T-Mobile screen

So firstly is what I'm trying to do even possible (move carriers by changing the software). And secondly if so how ??

I am currently running the latest version of Desktop manager, and the phone's OS version is 4.5.0

1. You cant get rid of the t-mobile splash screen at startup.
2. you need an unlock code to allow it to use a different carrier SIM card. someone like Horizon Wireless (website).

If you are not a T-Mobile customer, they most likely will not give it to you. IMHO, Horizon is probably your best bet.
