Default only push email when away from computer

Please Login to Remove!

I have had my BB 8330 for only a couple days and have a customization question.

I am usually near a computer and can easily check my emails so I was wondering if there was a way to have the BB only check my email accounts when I am away from the computer.

I notice that for the sound settings, you could customize based on in the holster or out of the holster. Conceptually, I am looking for similar functionality with the email.

Or perhaps there is way to set the email push to manual rather than automatic?

Wirelessly posted

You could set your email client on the computer to delete email from the server and set the client to send and receive messages at a frequency such that messages are downloaded and deleted before the BIS gets them. That's it short of chaning your BIS settings to not forward email to the handset, and then resetting it.
