Not getting emails on BB since using Outlook
Just installed Outlook 2003 Student/Teacher edition. I have 3 email accounts that previously came to my BB. Two of them are now in my Outlook.

Since installing Outlook, my BB stopped receiving emails from those two addies. One is a POP3 on a comcast account. The other is IMAP on a Google apps account...not straight gmail.

I have made sure that all the information in my email settings on the BB are correct as well as in Outlook. Since doing that, I am now getting the comcast emails sporadically but not the Google apps.

Any help?

Do you have Outlook set to remove messages from server after download, or leave on server. I suspect it is the former, and messages are being deleted from the server before BIS can grab them.

I wondered about that too...with the IMAP forwarding on the google apps account (which is the one I'm not getting on the BB)...there is no option for chosing what to do with messages on the server. There is with POP3. If I change it to POP3 or at least enable POP3 on the server, that might make a difference?

Well, I changed it to a POP and have it set to leave messages on the server and still nada...ugh.

Do you turn the computer off, or do you leave it running? What I'm getting at is this: Regardless of how you set Outlook, it isn't going to be having any effect when the computer is off. If emails are not getting to the blackberry when the computer is off, then you know for sure it has nothing to do with Outlook.

If you verify that it is not Outlook causing a problem, try deleting those email addresses in BIS. Wait a little while -- I don't know, eat a meal or do something -- then add the addresses back to BIS. You could also delete the service books for those addresses just in case after you delete in BIS, but I don't know if it will make any difference.

On or off..nothing from that google apps gmail is coming through to the BB. The other comcast addy works fine though. I wonder if it has something to do with the google thing.

Sounds like the problem is not Outlook grabbing the emails before BIS can get it.

Is the google email the only problem now? I think that's what you need to focus on.

Are you sure that email is properly set up in your BIS account? Have you changed passwords by any chance?

Try a battery pull and resend service books.

Battery pull done. Yes, I re-entered all the info into the email settings in the BB...sent test message...nada.
It has to be something with Google apps gmail and the ominous cloud.

I have to giggle a bit since I sell technology for a living!
