I have a curve 8330 and want to go on vacation but do not want to receive any of my work emails while there. I can see from other posts that there is a filter you can do but I cannot find where that option is. If I go to my email settings, there is not an option to add a filter. I have verizon wireless as my carrier I would really appreciate some help! Thanks

Go to email settings icon and click on it. Not the email icon login. Click on acct - menu - filters.

Not filter.
Login to BIS, click Edit on the account/s in question and then uncheck the "forward to handheld" box.
This will stop emails being forwarded. When you return, simply do the same thing, re-checking the box.

I am clicking on the email settings icon and it takes me to a verizon wireless screen where I can see my two accounts. under each account there is an edit or delete button. There is also - add an email account, settings, help and close options. There is no filter option in either place. If I just click on the account - it takes me to a blank email.

There is no "forward to handheld" in the edit option.

When I edit the account - It shows - email account name, reply to, your name, user name and password, Auto BBC, Deleted items and a check by "synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device. I do not see anything else. There is an advanced setting button there but it only has - email server, IMAP4,Port:993, Use SSL - yes is checked, timeout:120 seconds.

It would appear its only viewable from the BIS site on a computer then.

FYI to anyone that might read this - I needed to upgrade to the newest OS. That is why I did not have the same features as everyone was suggesting. I upgraded and the options are there. thanks to akosnitzky and MidnightDraven for your help.

What OS do you have? The email filter is available for OS 5.0, but I'm not sure about vzw OS 4.5. You could delete the email then add it back after vacation.
