Im new to this forum and blackberrys and ive just bought a blackberry round a week ago and today ive set up my wifi and tried downloading the new blackberry messenger that shows your contacts pictures and 5 minutes later the scroller stop working not the trackball the other scroller not sure whats it called is their anyway i could make this possible to work again????

The 8520 has a trackpad.

First thing to try is a hard reset. With the power on, remove the battery for 30 seconds or more, then try again.

i dont know what the scroller is called its the square one not the circle trackball

Got it. Try the hard reset. Hopefully it is just a software glitch and not hardware. If it is software, the hard reset should fix it. If it doesn't, do another, longer battery pull. If that doesn't do it, then I hope the device is under warranty or insured.

Did you perhaps get it wet or expose it to moisture? Even sweaty pockets and humid shower rooms have sometimes caused problems for people.
