I am trying to syn my outlook to my BB but I keep getting an error message stating that I need to turn off the wireless connection

How do I do this

You should have an icon called "Manage Connections" (it looks like an antenna on a tripod). Once you click on that you will see check boxes for all your wireless connections (bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc). The one that says "Mobile Network" will turn off your signal to your service provider.
