Exclamation Receiving Another Persons Email

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

The problem I'm having is that I receive emails from an ex-employee who used to work at the company and had this phone before it as giving to me. The emails I'm receiving is from his gmail account only

What I've done is erase the entire 8320 file system ( reformat) including all the apps and restored the OS completely. But yet I still continue to receive his gmail emails. Any suggestion on what could be going on?

Thank you

Open Options > Advanced > Service Books.
Scroll though and do you see the gmail account you're to which you refer?
You could see two instances, one [CIMIME] and one [CICAL], delete both.

I see those two instances however when I view the service record, no where does it mention the gmail account.

You are misunderstanding what is being asked, I think.

Don't click on the Service Book entry. But what email address is showing next to the [CMIME] entry or entries?

There is no email address next to it. All I see is

Desktop[CMINE]
Desktop[CICAL]

No email address before or after it.

Thank you

No email address before or after it.

That means whomever used your device before you was activated on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server... or the device is currently activated on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Those could be the entries for your own corporate email.

You should talk to your IT department about this.

Right, it used to belong to an ex-employee for the company I'm working at. Now it belongs to me and the phone is currently activated on BES with my account. The IT department is stump about this also. As I mentioned, we've already reformatted the phone and re-installed teh operating system but yet I'm still receiving the ex-employees emails from Gmail.

And you have no [CMIME] service books other than Desktop[CMIME] ?
Nothing like [email address][CMIME] ?

I've seen this happen, on VZW phones because the internet email is tied to the PIN of the device...we had an embarassing thing happen ( for an executive) where he setup internet email on the phone( tied to his PIN) we replaced his phone and re-lent it to our CEO..and the CEO started getting all of this other guys personal email. VZW is able on their end to logically disconnect the PIN of the device from the email account..and of course the PIN is tied to the Blackberry and a wipe won't remove it...
