Default Interest Question--Network Connection!!

Good evening--I have a blackberry curve 8330 -Verizon.

I downloaded the NFL Mobile app and it said that it downloaded successfully. I then had to agree to something which I did. Then I clicked on the icon per instruction and after awhile I got the following error: "Cannot connect to NFL Mobile. Please establish a network connection and try again"

My question is, what does this mean? I'm a novice..how do I establish this network connection?

yep..have a data plan..many 8330 users have the nfl mobile app
