Default Latest OS: 8300 4.5.0.313/4.5.0.188 (Multilanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.313 (Multilanguage)
for the 8300 model only

Package Version: 4.5.0.313
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.5.0.188
* Software Platform: 2.7.0.110
* File name: 8300M_PBr4[1].5.0_rel313_PL2.7.0.110_A4.5.0.188.ex e
* File size: 90MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Download OS here (choose Free Download Area > Endgeräte > BlackBerry > then your device model #):
Blackberry

Instructions for installing on ANY 8300 (regardless of carrier)
(Use Desktop Manager to backup your BlackBerry first, and then close Desktop Manager):

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."

If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

Is there anyway to make the OS language Turkish? I am trying to give the phone to a friend and they will use it in Turkey, so I was wondering if it is possible to change it to Turkish or select it somehow?

Is Turkish NOT listed as one of the languages when updating. I would expect it to be one of the listed ones since this is a (Multilanguage) upgrade. You just check mark the languages you need and uncheck mark those you do NOT then click Next or whatever and sit back and relax as the upgrade runs.

I may have to check and older firmware in that case, or possibly find a firmware from Turkcell. I have seen 9700 firmware for Turkcell here a few times but not for 8300. Let's see if I can find one.

Edit: Found it!
Software Download for Turkcell
