I work for a company and part of my job involves ordering phones/Blackberry's for our employees and dealing with associated queries.

One of our employees currently has an 8310 and this has suddenly stopped working - the service provider we use has agreed to swap the device under the warranty but a back up of the data needs to be done so that the Blackberry memory can be wiped before it is sent back.

The service provider could not offer a solution for this and I have not found the help sections of the BB website particularly useful either.

I would be very grateful if someone could please advise whether there is any way a back up can be done if the device won't switch on?!
