Default unlocked 8310 T-Mobile email problem

I am trying to setup email on an unlocked ATT BB 8310 I bought today. Phone works but when I run the email setup program I get this error.
"HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway"

Details show:
"Unable to translate the given page URL=bis.t-mobile.com/wap ststus=62(hex).

What is this? Is there a way to resolve this? My internet is working just fine.

Do you have a BB data plan?

Try using Google search:

I have a Blackberry data plan. It is an unlimited data plan with T-mobile. Have been using it with an unlocked ATT 8700 with T-Mobile for some time now and everything worked. Everything seems to work on the 8310 except setting up my email. I get the HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway message.

Did you change the IMEI and PIN within the carrier's BIS site from the 8700 to the 8310?

Did you try the link I posted and/or searching for something that might help?

I have this problem too. I called customer support, and they weren't able to help me.

However, I can still add email addresses from my computer on the My T-Mobile site, and this works well enough for me. I suppose it's the tradeoff for having a blackberry curve with gps that works on T-Mobile.
