Sweet thanks

I think the 8800 is a sleeker cleaner looking than the 8300.

But I like the 8300

hanks pnd - crazy how much smaller the 8300 is. Looks like the main difference in height is the reduced base of the 8300 vs the 8800.

the 8300 looks pocketable to me... i love the pearl but would consider going to the 8300 given its size. cant wait for it to come out!

I would *guess* by the images that the 8300 is similar in size to the 8700...

The 8300 just looks like such a better device from an industrial design standpoint.

- power button is cleaner and nicer
- cleaner looking ports access through case (USB, etc.)
- more rounded bulb design which "sits" in the hand nicer
- less fingerprint area (the 8100 finish SUCKS)
- less wasted space (see bottom edge of keyboard)
- better "at a glance" keys for us non-touch-typers

Can we release it already? C'mon, RIM.

It's a little thicker than the 8800. I expected the opposite. But no matter - I'll have one!

Makes me happier with my 8800 now. 8300 looks like an 8700 to me.

I thought I recalled someone in the know saying the 8300 would be more Pearl-like in terms of dimensions. It's definitely more 8700-ish, but it's still hawt! I can't wait to rub my grubby mitts all over one. (cue evil laugh).

The 8300 looks kinda like a Treo 750 with the rubberised feel.

is it just me or is that all those photos of the pictures of the 8300 and 8800 ontop of eachother just seem too suggestive?

The 8300 reminds me of the 87xx a little bit.

I honestly like both of them...

Does anyone know if they both have the same screen size?

wow, I like the 8300. Looks like a fresher version of the 8700. I like!

I like the dimensions of the 8300 over the 8800. Don't like how the 8800 is taller/higher than the 8700.

I wish they would get rid of the shiney surfaces on the Blackberrys. I like the 8800 for the matte finish that does not finger print.

I will take the 8300 as the keyboard looks more friendly.

Just want to know when!

I will hold on to my 8800. the 8300 reminds me of a certain HP device. I will wait for the 9xxx when there are more significant changes including the OS.

What I'd like to see is side to side comparison shots with the 8700.

I just hope individual service providers will change the color of the 8300. If TMobile releases it in their standard dark blue, that would clinch it for me.
