While processor speed is important it is not the only part. You will see huge improvements once the new compression is implemented.

Well do not be to certain because you are greatly WRONG. Most of this stuff is already known. You just have to know who to talk to and where to look. It always amazes me how much info is not talked about on these forums that is pretty readily available. Also remember one thing. Reps like to tease customers with new technology and advances to keep them interested. All apart of selling the product. Sometimes that info is false and sometimes it is not. An old rule of business, money talks! Those who have the money are often treated a bit differently and allowed to nibble on a bigger slice of the pie.

Now if I can just get my 8300 early. That is my personal project for this year.

Agreed, I remember buying a Nextel phone off a guy who had it to beta test. He said he could not sell it but money changed his mind.

They are out there for sure.

Ok I have somewhat cleaned up this thread. sgossard34 and backbeat may not post here anymore and any thing else that even gets near the line will result in a ban. You have been both been warned. Now go enjoy your Sunday night.

I think the 8300 warrants the launch more so then the 8800, which is really aimed at the business customer, and they will buy them as they need them. The 8300 is for prosumers, us non-business types, and I would think RIM would want it out in the news for people to see. On the other hand, since it is really a nicer, qwerty, new OS version of the Pearl, maybe RIM will not see the need to go the party route.

But I still voted .

Do agree on the 8800 being aimed at corp America but the 8300, with the camera will capture a lions share of sales!

I still can not believe the choices for Blackberry users now and in the near future. Just not too long ago you had a choice of one model for your carrier. This is nice, something for everyone!

Someone need to order the PArty Favors quickly as BG is reporting that the 8300 will be released in only a few weeks by AT&T!

Does not give long for the party planning. Hard to believe that Cingular users will be getting a shot at the two newest Blackberrys in such a short time period!

Wow, it's a good thing that I have a buyer for my 8800, the transaction will be complete today, so I'll be ready for the 8300. This is a milestone for me, as it's the shortest amount of time I've ever had a new phone before a newer model is introduced!

Three Cheers for RIM! They are truly working aggressively on delivering what their loyal customer base is looking for. ........

Count me in! More choices for work AND for play = always a good thing. I actually like the fact that with the 8300 RIM is opening itself up more to the prosumer market. Greater profits mean more $$$ for research & development, leading to more advanced Blackberries for the corporate world as well. I think that's good reason to party it up

If RIM doesn't do an 8300 launch party, why don't we just have our own??
