I also bought the BT-359 GPS receiver to go with it due to traveling quite a bit for work and wanted the voice GPS to go with maps. I signed up for the 9.99 plan and thought I was ready to go...
Upon trying to set up the GPS receiver to work with phone, it told me the 8300 was not supported by telenav.
I called a rep and he said that, at this time, I cannot use the GPS receiver with the 8300 b/c that particular phone has not yet been certified and he could not guarantee me that it would be in the future.
Does anyone have any advice for me?
Should I cancel the 9.99 plan and take the receiver back or just keeping holding on just like I did waiting for curve to be unveiled?!?!
Thanks for your help... and thanks for all of the posts on this forum.... AMAZING!! |
I downloaded TeleNav gps navigator on the 8300. I just selected the build for the 8800. It downloaded and installed fine and launches fine. Did you get that far?
Even if it is not supported just yet, I am sure TeleNav will add it very soon. They had the 8800 added very soon after it released. I would be picking up a GPS receiver today too, love TeleNav, it hasnt let me down yet. $10 is a bargain for fairly reliable navigation with traffic.
Hold on to the receiver.
