Unhappy How to "selectively" restore item from 8100...

Please Login to Remove!

I cant seem to find this answer or a way to do this - I want to just transfer all my stored passwords from the password keeper application on my Pearl to my new Curve.

I dont want to restore anything else just that - how is this done?
I can't see the way to do it under advanced options on Desktop Manager - can someone post step by step procedure please?

Default Restore Password Keeper

I had a similar problem with my password keeper. Turn off the sync per the thread below and it will then let you copy the old keeper over.

Not sure if there is a simpler way to do this on the 8300, but this one does work.

Not sure on that one. I assume you have backedup the old unit via Desktop Software. Then, If you try "Backup and Restore/ Advanced" on the Desktop software, can't you see password keeper to move it over to the new unit.

If not, try turning off the sync per the earlier post.
At this point, I'm just guessing. The method listed above worked for me with no need to do anything on our BES.

Scooters, your the man! Thanks for your continued help with this.
When I hit Advanced under Options, there is no backup file - The area to the left side is blank white with no device info - how do I get to a previous (pearl) backup file without having the desktop manager restore the whole backup file? I tried the restore function but it started to restore the whole file which wasnt what I wanted to do :(
