| If I recall correctly, the application folder has a link which then downloads TeleNav to your curve. Once this is done, the TeleNav app is installed for use (obviously GPS isn't there w/out a separate puck). The maps seem to be pretty good, but it loads maps rather slowly. I've never used it on any other handheld, so I don't know if this is unusual. My suspicion is that the slowness is more due to the bandwidth limitations of EDGE than of the Curve.
Blackberry Maps wasn't pre-installed. I downloaded it from the BB website where there is a warning it is not available for the AT&T network. I'm not sure what that means (maybe no GPS functionality w/ BBmaps?). Anyway, it downloaded and installed fine. |
