Anybody else having problems sending MMS messages? I have been through about every troubleshooting step with Cingular/ATT I can imagine. The MMS just won't go through. SMS is fine. Anybody else see this with the Curve?

Mine gives the red "X" and it says "failed to send message"

Weird.

Yup, that's the same thing I get too. Actually, I squeaked through a couple last night. But then, right back to the same today. Are any of you on a BB Enterprise Server? I wonder if there's anything on there to block this. I have received successfully though.

The solution is below -- I just did it on my 8300 to send to another cell phone via MMS and it worked.

You have to reduce the size of your pictures and have TCP setup as outlined in this thread.

See this thread for information on obtaining additional themes -- information within the thread tells you how to get all the themes. There are also discussions on the board about how to load themes from within different RIM updates.

Yes, you have to set up TCP just to get the MMS Service Books.. I guess my pics are too big...

I am a BES Admin, and it can be blocked, but mine is not blocking, so its gottabe the picture size...

It is the picture size. 1600x1200 pictures will not make it thru. Lower the resolution to 640x480 and it'll work just fine. I haven't tried 1024x768 yet.

I went into the camera options and changed the picture quality to fine instead of superfine and now every mms I send goes through very fast. I think ATT has a max size picture they will allow, not sure what it is though.

So were you able to send full size pictures thru MMS by doing that?

I just tried sending a full high-res camera pic and had no problems...

Hopefully it was a temporary problem or something... are you guys still having problems?

Good question CrashPush, I'd like to know the same thing.

I spoke with ATT customer service for hours. They did this and that....though we were to determine that I was able to receive the mms messages they sent me, though I cannot seem to send them out (didn't try to send medium sized pictures, called them about the large size)

At one point, she found a link on att's help site, that stated that ONLY certain model blackberrys were enabled to send MMS messages, the curve not being listed on the snippet she read to me. Obviosuly not true since folks are sending them out ok.

I understand it may work if the picture size is shanged but I think we should be enabled to send out the maximum size file if we choose to. Afterall...our blackberrys can do everything else.

My understanding is the phones resize the picture when received, so I am not sure that sending a full size picture accomplishes that much.
