Default AIM client for 8300?

Please Login to Remove!

so i've done some searching and saw that most users are raving about the JiveTalk as it is a multi-platform messenger that supports AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, etc. Too bad it is not free anymore but only a 30 day free trial at this point.

Is there any free AIM clients that will work with our phone? I am a pretty big user of AIM and would love to have this working on my BB.

Also, would each message sent constitute as an SMS or data? I've read where it says either or so I am a bit puzzled.

Thanks in advance.

haha yes I've already read other threads on how Ramble is a POS program not worth installing on my BB.

I would be willing to bite the bullet and go with paying for BeeJive but I just wanted to see if there are other viable solutions first. Thanks!

Does signing on your AIM account from AIM.com not work for messaging? I've not tried it myself yet.

Use JiveTalk, it's the best, not free though, but definitely worth the $$...I got a free license for participating in the Beta
