Talking Could Be Another 8300 Case??? This Could Be..

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, some of you have purchased the OEM BlackBerry 8300 Leather Holster from me or from somewhere else. Some like the look, others don't. But for the latter, could this make you change your mind because of the BlackBerry LOGO on this item?

The following pictures show the two different cases and a side-by-side comparison between the OEM Leather Holster and the new case I just received.

The photos below, show the new case with my 8700g with the OEM Extended Battery on it. Definitely does not fit. Can't even close the strap.

This photo below, shows size comparison width-wise. Not much difference. Judging from the photos, I would say, it will be perfect for the Curve.

I will be going to an AT&T store later tonight to test this case, if indeed this could be another 8300 case.

CC, Did you try putting the BB in the other way? With the ext battery it usually works best to have the battery facing out.

I'm going to try to do that JC and see. But I think it does not matter since with the extended battery, it widens the space for the flap to rest on the magnet. It would fall short length-size.

Update....

This indeed is the perfect Leather Holster with Belt Clip for the 8300 with Skin on. Shown in the photos below, lengthwise, widthwise --- just perfect.

And also here.. showing in Black Skin....

So answer some of you who have questions in regards the fitting of curve with the skin on unto the leather holster... The answer is PERFECT.

See video here to show how easy to remove the Curve from the holster with just one hand. It is fits perfect!!!
*WARNING - VIDEO MIGHT LOAD SLOW SINCE IT IS A HUGE FILE*

Do not like any case with a belt clip like is on this one. "Pinch" clips can and will let go. The clip on the OEM case that hooks around the belt is far superior.

that clip will hook around the belt unless you are wearing some 3" - 4" wide 1972-style disco belt!

If you are basing your opinion with accessories that are non OEM RIM, then I suggest you get one of this and base your feedback correctly. Unless you have love handles that pushes this holster everywhere but on where it is supposed to....

The clip is made differently like those from Milante models for example, which I used to carry. This clip is pretty wide and has supperior hold.

And JS, even if you have a 4" disco belt ... it would hold it. LOL (jk I think too)

If that pinch clip is anything like what I remember of RIM's pinch clips it was so tight I had trouble getting it off when I tried. I highly doubt it will fall off. I've had more trouble catching a plastic clip and breaking it off than with the pinch clips coming off.

It might clip over the top edge of my 1.25" belt but it is NOT going to lock around it like the OEM clip. I have used these before and no matter how tight it fits at first, in a few weeks it will be less tight.

And as far as chesycats saying the love handles will hold it down, how much does he weight as I have no love handles.

The ONLY time I have even had my Blackberry come off of my person was while wearing a holster like this. So you all enjoy!

Greg, go find another thread to troll....You stated your opinion. We all heard you. I've not experienced the problem of these coming off. Heck, even if did fall off, the BB is in a skin and a holster. Seems like a good deal to me. It's another option for those with an 8300.

Troll?

Come on John, I posted one time and responded to a reply. I hardly find that trolling. Maybe we are just a little up tight because someone said something against what you like?

I will leave it alone but you Troll comment was much!

I am using an OEM holster from an 8800 that a buddy at Cingular hooked me up with until the 8300-specific holster I ordered from RIM comes in...and, frankly it's doing a very good job. I really am impressed with the OEM cases construction and quality...

But...I like variety, and I may order this combo to try the skin on the phone, and this case/pouch also. It looks like a good one too.

Hey greggebhardt,

First off, thank you for calling me "chesycat".

The good thing about being "chesycat" is that I make a lot of members here very happy with my service and products. Everything I sell are all original. Offering the best price that I can give only to this forum and nowhere else, is my way of saying thank you for being a member of such an awesome forum, hands down.

Being one of those who are addicted to BlackBerry(s), we know that when we see the latest BB model, we can't sleep, we can't stop thinking about it, we ponder days and days, contemplating if we should get it or not. With this in mind, based on experience, getting OEM accessories is NOT and NEVER cheap. But why sell it expensive when I can get it from the distributor that distributes to all the retailers in the US anyway? Their distributor is the same as mine. So why pay more? This is where this passion of mine all started.

People here like it, they have asked me to put up my website and the rest is history.

So am I a "chesycat"? I would say I am a HAPPY CATT... and a happy catt is contagious. PEACE!
