Default Why cant I get notifications?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys -

Well my one complaint is i have no idea how to get a notification from my emails. I am setup through blackberry exchange, so all my emails DO come in. However i can not get any notification(vibrate, ring, shock, whatever) when new ones come in.

I go to Profiles > Advanced > Select Normal

Under Level 1 Messages:
Out of Holster: Vibrate
Tune: Notifer_Crystal
Volume: Low
Number of Beeps: 1
Repeat Notification: Led
Number of Vib: 3

But that doesn't work.....

Can someone give me some assistance!

Thanks,
marley1

I highlighted your problem above.
An e-mail message is not a Level 1 Message (unless you specifically set up a filter to make it one.)
E-mail messages are classified simply as 'Messages' in the profile.
If you're on a BES, it might say 'Messages[Desktop]'.

You should examine/change the settings for 'Messages' as needed.

I should have continued to write more.

I have Messages[Desktop]:

Out of holster: Vibrate
Volume Low
Number Beep 1
Repeat - LED
Number Vibe:3

Still no go. What else can i look for?

Default High importance e-mail notifications

Sooo.. I want to be notified when I recieve a High importance e-mail when my BB is in the holster, but I DON'T want to be bothered when normal e-mails arrive. I tried to set Messages (Desktop) to mute, and set Level 1 Messages to tone/ Vibrate... I don't get notified at all.

right now, I'm back to square 1.... getting notified every time an e-mail arrives. Help..I know I'm missing something obvious
