Default Make your own ringtones from mp3 filz

Anyone knows how or has put your own ringtone on the 8300 from a mp3 file. Not using ota....

You can use an audio program to chop up the song you want, save it as an mp3 and connect to the media manager and transfer it.

i chop it using wavepad, save the file as an mp3 on my desktop, go to the media manager and transfer it onto my berry via bluetooth. very simple and takes about 5 minutes

Please explain:

1) How you chop (size, bit rate, etc) because all I ever get is a "click" sound and no music

2) How do you transfer the file? What "media manager" are you referring to?
