Default Browser problem

Please Login to Remove!

I am moving from the 8700 to the 8300 (love the form factor!).. one problem I have found is getting to my bank accounts. I did this all the time on the 8700..(one of the requirements for our vacation in Europe last year).

wellsfargo.com

I can't even get to the login page (not https)
I get a loading, requesting, loading requesting loop..

WF doesn't support the Blackberry or OperaMini client id signature strings, only IE. I don't see any additional setting I can use to fix this..

| never mind.. Uncheck 'Enable Javascript' and it works ok..

I can't offer any solace to you, but I do know that I can access my ING direct accounts through Orange Mobile redirect

Same thing. Unable to login with 8300 AT&T but able to login with 8700g T-Mobile. Checked the phone listing for BOA Mobile access and 8300 is not yet listed for supported phones.

I used to access/login to www.bofa.com just fine on my Cingular 8800. However, I had to replace it due to damage; now I CANNOT login! Tells me theres Security reasons.....

I tried changing my emul mode and that did not help

any ideas?

P.S. Thanks for the ING link!

I have also been trying to login to the BofA mobile site and cannot. I was able to prior to upgrading my firmware, but now cannot.
I did check to see that I was using the 'Blackberry Browser' and that it was set to Internet Explorer emulation mode. After this and playing with the other settings I still can get into the site without getting that same message .. "for security reasons......"

Can anyone tell me what all of thier settings are for thier browse options?

Thanks!

OK I think I found my own answer just by further trial & error.

My Issue related to the Encoding not being set properly. After Adjusting to "US-ASCII" I was able to log on to the BofA site

While viewing a web page, bring up the menu (via trackwheel) and select set encoding.

* Uncheck auto mode
* Highlight the current character set
* Press "I", "U", or "B" to cycle thru the different values

I have the 8700G thru T-Mobile and I am receiving the For Security Reasons Message. My wife just received the Pearle thru T-Mobile and she can access the BofA.mobi page with no issues. The only differences I can see, the 8700G is running 4.1 and the Pearle is running 4.2.

Wachovia and Scottrade look fine... although I prefer Opera for Scottrade.

Redliine,
When you select that value with your trackball, click on it, You should then be shown the entire list that you can pick from. Changing mine to the value shown fixed my problem with connectivity.

Regards,

I tried unchecking 'Enable Javascript Location Suppport' in my browser's 'General Properties' but it still doesn't work. Would you mind telling me what your other 'Brower Configuration' settings are as well as "General Properties' settings? Thanks.
