I just got my Curve on Friday. My cordless phone in my house makes noise when my blackberry xmits/receives. I was sitting on the couch and noticed that it was making that noise every 30 seconds or so. My old 7290 only did it occassionally.

I suspect that the near constant transmitter usage is whats making the Curve rather warm and killing the battery life. I only get about 12 hours on a charge and I only used it to send 2 text messages yesterday!!

Does anyone know what could be running that would cause the xmitter to be in use all the time. I removed the Blackberry messenger application but that didn't change anything. Running apps when I do swtich apps:

Phone
Browser (tried to close it but it won't go away)
Home
PTT (which I don't use and can't figure out how to close)
Messages

Of these I suspect browser or PTT but I can't get either of them to close on the curve. Any suggesstions are greatly appreciated

The browser is always running and you can't close that(but do make sure it is not an active web page running and constantly updating itself), like phone and home screen. You can delete the PTT app, best through Application Loader in Desktop Manager.
