Default 2 questions? How much mem.? Lock keys?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys, I just got my curve and love it. Two questions though: 1) How much memory do you have right out of the box? It seems I have around 23mb where my pearl had about 32mb. Also, is there a short cut for locking the keys like the pearl (ie: hold * button)? Thanks in advance for taking time to answer.

Good idea on the side keys but I really like my camera and ppt for those keys.

If you check your status it will show the amount of memory available to use. I am curious what other people have available?

That works as long as Phone > options > General Settings > Dial from home screen = NO.

This has been discussed - for some reason the curve has less available memory than the pearl - my "loaded" pearl still has lots more memory than my "semi loaded" curve - not too cool IMHO.

There is a much higher space requirement for the Roxio features. That's why the available device memory is lower than on previous models.

Thanks for the input. I was worried that when I installed new OS I lost a butt load of memory. I will try the "k" settings.

Close your programs when you are finished with them and I like to pull my battery at least once a week.

Just curious, what is the appeal of BBToday? I tried it for a minute but didn't like that it doesn't intigrate with the actual BB today screen. I came from windows mobile and loved the today screen. Currently have the vodafone theme and that is the best I have found. That and "task" calander doesn't pull up a calander are my only complaints.
