Default Possible to set setting for internet to look like Safari?

Please Login to Remove!

What i really like about the upcoming iPhone is how Safari loads webpages as real PC pages not mobile pages. Are there some settings to tweek to get my mobile browser displaying full webpages but just in a scaled down view?

thanks

yep, emulate IE is one.

Also, Opera Mini does a better job at rendering webpages as intended.

you can try while in the browser --> menu -> desktop view.

formatting is done both by the browser and buy the website (depending on how well programmed it is.

The browser will generally always over-ride. But the websites and check for the type of browser and adjust what they send down the pipline based on that response.

so you could fake safri using (modifig the browser id code)..have to look it up tonight. but the browser will still configure/format as well. But this is all assuming mobile browser work the same was as desktop verisions(what I'm familiar with/develop for)

That is Apples proprietary browser system. Apple makes iPhones. RIM makes Blackberries, Apple wouldnt want to share browser code with RIM or even develop for the BlackBerry cause Apple wouldnt sell any iPhones.

Granted someone could attempt to make a decent browser like Apples much anticipated browser but then Apple would sue for look and feel of their browser probably

dont forget the browser iphone browser is fast because it is wifi

if bb had more speed it wouldnt be too bad...the waiting is worse than the rendering

I suspect it has more to do with the iPhone having two processors, both of which are likely much higher end than the RISC processors in BBs. The flip side of that being the awful battery life compared to BB's
