Got my new 8300 today and love it, but having one problem. When I load the new Desktop Manager from the CD that came with the device, media manger does not load. I see no icon for it at all. Anybody have any ideas? I am running vista, I wonder if thats the problem.

i installed it on my Xp, but its lacking the OPTION for VIDEO ...i only get import audio or pictures....what gives?

Its loaded via the blackberry desktop software shortcut. I click that and then i get 4 paned window that shows up.

btw you only really need it if your setting up playlists I think(never done it) and encoding video. You can drag and drop mp3s directly as long as you put them in the H:\blackberry\music folder or what have you.

Roxio is a piece of crap though. Keeps crashing out while rendering.

I have been unsuccessul in pulling it up with out doing thru the bb software. I think you need to have the bb inside. Additionally you have to enabled (click yes on the bb after connecting it - to give roxio access to your microsd card). Additionally not sure if you can install it on vista. Are you running 32-bit or 64 bit? Using windows xp 32 bit pro atm on my laptop. My xp 64 bit power conduits fried a month ago otherwise I would be more help.

32bit xp, i gave up..just gonna use bb video instead to convert vid.s
