Default Receipt for mail i sent

Please Login to Remove!

I've gotten a few receipts for mail that i sent using a blackberry but the email i got was on my computer not my blackberry even though i sent it from my blackberry.

How can i manage my settings on my blackberry to verify that messages receipts and choose for what types of messages i want receipts.

Or is there a way i can just click and see what the status is on mail i've sent using my blackberry?

thanks

ok so -

confirm delivery: yes , would place a small "D" by my message letting me know it was delivered but it only works if both parties are using the same inbox

confirm read: yes, will let me know if the other party has opened and read my message sent to them? and will work no matter what inbox?

send read receipts: yes/prompt: will send another party a receipt if they requested one?

Is the receiver acknowledging receipt? I have my outlook set to NEVER provide a read receipt, regardless of what the sender wanted.

where are these address? If they are web-based, most won't offer return mail receipts. Most will offer delievery(from the server broadcasting that it was received). Not sure, I'm looking and all I see for R(read) is from a fellow blackberry user so far i think.(using bis here only)

I had this same question/problem. I just got my device and I have it set to show me delivery prompts. Actually kind of annoying, but as a first-time with BIS (previous BES user), it's short-term comfort.

The notifications seem kind of arbitrary bleeding on useless.

For ex, just sent a kind of important msg to my boss who is overseas with his BB. While the check mark is certainly reassuring, I have no idea if he actually received it. I don't want to look like an ass by hitting 'resend'.

Hello folks, I'm on BES and can't see these functions on my Curve. Nor did they appear on 8700. Are there settings which need to be enabled somewhere? Perhaps in the BES IT policy, but I have not seen any.

Can anyone out there help? thanks, Terry

reciepts only work on BIS accounts and only if the reciever has send reciepts switched on

On BES I dont think it is possible.
